“People usually know what they should do to get what they want. They just won’t do it. The won’t pay the price. Understand there is a price to be paid for achieving anything of significance. You must be willing to pay the price.”

Reminds me of the 6 Success Principles: 1. Know where you are going 2. Know why you want to get there 3. Understand the price 4. Decide to pay the price 5. Pay the price 6. Keep an eye on how you’re doing. 🙂

It is amazing Stu that even when we know what we need to be doing to achieve what we really would like, we do not do it…. What the heck is stopping us?

Fear usually. Of failure, of success, of the unknown, etc. We have to accept the fear, even welcome it as a warning sign – but not let it stop us. Easier said than done I know! 🙂

It’s true, but I think saying you are paying the price” brings a negative feel to it. Maybe you aren’t doing something you like, therefore it feels like you are paying a price. It no longer feels like you are paying a price when you love doing what you do. You work harder than ever, but it no longer feels like work!
I think where people make the biggest mistake is not acquiring help for those tasks that they don’t like, but must be done for you to succeed. Ever notice how the things you don’t like to do seem to take forever to accomplish, while the things you like make time fly!?

Hania I think what you are saying is very valid. I also think that many people know what they need to do and are not willing to pursue it even if they know it will lead to what they are looking for. Not sure why, but we certainly do put things off.
