True story: I held the door open for an elderly lady in Italy who had two bags of groceries in hand. She yelled at me and asked if I was trying to get money from her. I just smiled and said to myself, “Sometimes you can’t fix stupid…” BTW – I still get the door whenever it is needed.
Being an Italian and one who visits there every year, I can understand what you experienced, and yes we still need to continue to do good deeds even when they are not received. Thank you for your comment and I wish you a great week! Tina 🙂
